After taking in the Louvre and feeling like treating myself, I walked down Avenue des Champs-Elysees, arguably the main street in Paris that is full of shops and celebrities. I walked into a small shopping center, almost like a market, and found myself looking at the macarons. I have a huge sweet tooth but never really find myself interested in these – the colors turn me off. However, when in Paris one must have macarons. I asked the lady what’s the traditional flavor and she told me it was pistachio, so there I was with one single pistachio macaron. It tasted just fine but I wouldn’t bother with one again.
